Whether traveling domestic or international, I always buy a bottle of water before getting on the plane. (Not before security because it will be discarded due to regulations) but just prior to boarding. If flying for 3-6 hours domestically, I like to have water ready to drink and not wait for the little cart to come around. This is an important step to staying hydrated and helps a lot with that nasty jetlag. Remember to H20 before you go!

You bring up a very good point my friend. I find it much easier to adapt to a new time zone the more attention I give to hydration. Love the tips. Now if you could improve the average speed of my runs at 5:00 AM I would be very grateful.
Hei Joe! I saw a television program about jet lag. A researcher – Dr Patrick Fuller – did a short study om two car racers communiting between Great Britain and the US. The principle is: Don’t eat onboard on long flights. Start eating at the first meal on arrival, i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper. That seemed to work just fine. Found an article on the internet by the same researcher: http://www.nhs.uk/news/2008/05May/Pages/Aremealtimestheanswertojetlag.aspx.
